NOTICE OF HEARING OUTCOME
Case Reference: CM/29/24
ALLEGATIONS
PC Peter Glover, based in London, attended a gross misconduct hearing on Monday 6th July 2026 to answer allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Orders and Instructions
- Confidentiality
- Discreditable Conduct
It was alleged that PC Glover:
- Stored personal data relating to members of the public and their engagement with the police at his home address.
- Reported for duty with unregistered and non-police issued handcuffs, which he had purchased himself.
- Shared a photograph of a member of the public who had been injured in a road traffic collision without a valid police purpose.
It was alleged that these matters individually and/or cumulatively amounted to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
OUTCOME
The Panel found the facts of allegations one and three proved, but found the facts of allegation two were not proved.
The Panel found the facts proven in allegation one breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Confidentiality and Discreditable Conduct.
The Panel found the facts proven in allegation three breached the Standard of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct.
The Panel found that the identified breaches amounted to misconduct and issued a Written Warning for 18 months.
