Appeal for witnesses after serious assault at station pub – Central London

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage after a man was assaulted at the BrewDog pub at Waterloo railway station in London.

Two men had been watching England’s World Cup match against Mexico on 6 July when they became involved in an altercation with each other.

Shortly after, at around 4.12am, one of the men was assaulted by another man at the venue. As a result of this, he sustained a fracture around his eye socket and to his skull.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the initial fight – one on suspicion of common assault and the other on suspicion of affray. They have both been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward, particularly those who captured footage of the incident on their phones.
