Appeal for witnesses after man assaulted in station car park – East Sussex

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted by a group of teenagers in Etchingham railway station’s car park in March.   

At around 6.15pm on Sunday 22 March, a man in his 50s assisted a member of railway staff in removing eight teenagers from a train for anti-social behaviour.

As the man walked to his car, the teenagers followed him before assaulting him in the car park.

The teenagers also damaged the man’s car, kicking off the wing mirrors and denting the body work.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was on the train or at the station at the time to come forward to assist the investigation.
