Appeal for witnesses after attempted robbery - Essex

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an attempted robbery outside an Essex railway station.

At around 12.50am on Saturday 29 August, a man was standing in the taxi rank area outside Harlow railway station when he was approached by a group of males who demanded money from him.

An altercation followed and the man is believed to have been struck by a glass bottle causing a head injury.

The group then fled the scene along Station Approach.

Detectives believe there were a number of witnesses who may have seen the incident and are urging them to come forward to support the investigation.
