A Special Police Constable, based in London, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Honesty and Integrity
- Discreditable Conduct
It is alleged that:
- On 30th May 2025, the officer deliberately took possession of items belonging to his wife and refused to return them until she “behaved positively”.
- On a number of occasions before 30th May 2025, the officer prevented his wife from leaving her home address by withholding her keys, becoming confrontational when she wishes to spend time with friends and family, and threatened to “make her life hell” (or words to that effect).
It is alleged that these matters individually and/or cumulatively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate. Reporting restrictions apply to this hearing.
