In order to ensure we are delivering the best possible service to the public, we work within a strategic plan and set a yearly policing plan to help us meet our objectives.
Our current Strategic Plan, as agreed with the British Transport Police Authority (BTPA), sets out what we intend to achieve and deliver over a five-year period. It runs from 2022 to 2027 and will see us:
In addition to our Strategic Plan, we also publish our National policing plans every year, as well as our local policing plans.
Our annual policing plans set out how we will deliver our strategic aims, specifically over the next 12 months, and details the targets against which our success will be measured. They cover both local and national objectives, ensuring we strike the right balance between local and national needs.
The Strategic and Policing Plans are the building blocks upon which we base our performance measures and strive for success. Whatever activity our officers and staff are engaged in, it should directly relate to one of our strategic aims or Policing Plan objectives.
