Updated statement on incident outside Newcastle station - Newcastle

 A man will appear at Court tomorrow charged in connection to an incident outside Newcastle Central station yesterday (1 May).

Shahjalal Choudry, 37, is charged with two counts of assault by beating and one count of common assault.

He has been remanded in custody until his appearance at Newcastle Combined Court tomorrow (3 May).
