Officers investigating an assault at Ruislip Manor Underground station have released this image in connection.
At around 3pm on Saturday 14 March, the victim was travelling on a Metropolitan Line service when he noticed that a man had picked up his bag.
When he challenged him and took back his bag the man dragged him off the train at Ruislip Manor station and repeatedly hit him in the head and face, leaving him with facial injuries.
Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe they may have information which could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 420 of 14 March.
Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
