Officers are appealing for information to help locate the family of a man who died on the Underground in London.
At around 7.15am on Wednesday 3 September, officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Edgware Underground Station.
Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
The man has been identified as 42-year-old Rizwan Ahmeed. Despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to trace Mr Ahmeed’s next of kin or any other family members to inform them of this sad news.
Mr Ahmeed was a Pakistani national who had lived in both Newquay and London. He had short black hair and a beard, and before his death he was wearing a black waterproof hooded coat and black jogging bottoms.
Officers are appealing for any relatives or anyone who may have information about Mr Ahmeed’s family to come forward and assist their investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 93 of 3 September.
