PC Klaudia Malec based in B Division, will answer 8 allegations that her conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
Allegations 1 & 2
It is alleged that on 7-8 May and 3 June 2023 and while off duty, PC Malec committed acts of physical domestic abuse against her former partner PC A.
Allegation 3
It is alleged that during and subsequent to her relationship with PC A, PC Malec engaged in domestic abuse/inappropriate conduct towards him which included elements consistent with controlling and coercive type behaviour.
Allegation 4
It is alleged that on or about 6 May 2023, PC Malec behaved inappropriately towards a member of the public by making a threatening reference to the Malicious Communications Act.
Allegation 5
It is alleged that on 6 – 7 May 2023, PC Malec witnessed an incident of domestic abuse committed by a male friend but failed to urgently report the incident.
Allegation 6
It is alleged that on 12 May 2023, PC Malec submitted a false and misleading Notifiable Association form to the British Transport Police Professional Standards Department.
Allegations 7 & 8
It is alleged that on various dates in 2024 and 2025, PC Malec provided false and/or misleading information to the Family Court, social services and police colleagues.
It is alleged that these matters individually and/or cumulatively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
