DC Chapman, based in Southampton, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
It is alleged that between 2023 and 2025 DC Chapman made a series of inappropriate and unprofessional remarks including:
Derogatory comments towards an officer in front of others.
Remarks towards colleagues which were homophobic in nature.
Mocking a Female Sergeant which was offensive, unprofessional, demeaning and derogatory.
Sending an Email to everyone at the station which was unprofessional and offensive.
It is alleged that these matters individually and/or cumulatively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
