DC Chapman, based in Southampton, attended a Misconduct Hearing which took place at the PSD offices, Ivason House, London between 23rd March and 31st March 2026. DC Chapman answered allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
It was alleged that between 2023 and 2025 DC Chapman made a series of inappropriate and unprofessional remarks, including:
The panel found the allegations 1-2 proven but not homophobic in nature and that it amounted to gross misconduct and DC Chapman breached the Standards of behaviour in respect of Authority, Respect and Courtesy and Discreditable Conduct.
The panel found that allegations 3-4 not proven and he did not breach the standards of behaviour of Equality and Diversity.
DC Chapman received a Final Written Warning.
