I'd like to request domestic violence offender data (Clare's Law)
Thank you. To make an application as part of the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (Clare’s Law) in England and Wales, please either:
- complete an online request by clicking 'Start' below
- call 101, or
- visit your nearest police station
You'll be asked to give the details and you'll be talked through the next steps. You'll need to give your:
- name
- address
- date of birth
A safe means of contacting you will be established and some initial checks will be carried out to make sure there's no immediate concern, if there is, or if you say a crime has taken place, the police may act on it.
If you live in Scotland
A domestic abuse disclosure scheme also operates in Scotland, giving people the right to ask the police to check whether a new or existing partner, or someone in a relationship with someone they know, has a violent past.
