British Transport Police (BTP) have charged a 16-year-old boy following an assault at Johnstone Railway Station on Friday 26 February at around 7.15pm.
The victim has been treated for significant head injuries and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with serious assault and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
