Woman charged following assault at Coatbridge Sunnyside Railway Station

Officers have arrested and charged a woman in relation to the assault of two female passengers at Coatbridge Sunnyside Railway Station on Saturday 15 May at around 7.30pm.

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, where a young woman was assaulted by another young woman, causing severe leg injuries which the victim is currently being treated in hospital for.

The victim's friend who attempted to come to her aid was also assaulted by the same woman.

The 18-year old female will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court later today.
