A male has been sentenced to a year in prison for exposing himself in front of a mother and child at Uphall Station on 27th May at 2:25pm.
Robert Black, 60, Whiteside, Bathgate, West Lothian was arrested and charged by the British Transport Police (BTP) on Thursday 27th May for Sexual Exposure under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
Black, pled guilty at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday 6th July to a reduced charge of public indecency. He was given 356 days imprisonment, reduced to 328 days due to time served and is subject to Protection of Vulnerable Groups Disclosure and was subject to Sex Offender Notification Registration for 10 more years.
BTP Detective Constable Crawford Gillies said: “Unwanted sexual behaviour will not be tolerated on the rail network. Everyone has the right to travel on the network and in stations without being subjected to this unacceptable behaviour.
“We work closely with our rail industry colleagues to make sure your journey remains safe and free from harassment or abuse.
