Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a report of a sexual assault on a train between Airdrie and Balloch on 1 March.
At around 1.40pm, on a service between Airdrie to Balloch, a woman was approached by two men on board the train.
One of the men sexually assaulted her.
The man left the train at Singer railway station.
He is described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, and he spoke with a foreign accent.
