We can confirm that following the passing of Rhiannon Skye Whyte on 23 October, the charges against Deng Chol Majek, 18, of Bescot Crescent, Walsall have been amended to murder.
He is next due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 19 November.
Chol Majek was initially charged with attempted murder but the victim, Rhiannon Whyte, sadly died.
