A man has been jailed for six and a half years following a British Transport Police (BTP) County Lines Task Force operation.
Adedayo Fatuga, 32, of George Avenue in Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to two charges of possession with intent to sell cocaine and money laundering at Aylesbury Crown Court on 8 November, 2023.
In July 2023, officers from BTP, Thames Valley Police, and the Metropolitan Police executed a number of arrest warrants at addresses in the Reading area of Berkshire, Milton Keynes and Camberley. Fatuga was subsequently arrested and over 700g of cocaine with a potential street value of £70,500 was seized from his bedroom.
Detective Inspector Matt Davies from the BTP County Lines Task Force said: “We are pleased with the excellent results of this operation and it is a credit to our team, the convictions we have secured so far. Working alongside our colleagues from other forces enhances our capabilities to catch those orchestrating these County Lines.
“The County Lines Task Force works hard to tackle drugs on the railway. This sentence should display a very powerful message to those involved in this sort of activity – we will disrupt the distribution of drugs by County Lines dealers.”
