A serving British Transport Police (BTP) officer has been dismissed from the force, following a misconduct hearing on 1 April.
PC Carl Johnson attended the hearing, held at the PSD Rooms, on Toft Green, York, where he answered allegations that he had breached the standards of professional behaviour.
In May 2020 he attempted to kiss and sexually touch another police officer, while on duty in an unmarked police vehicle.
The independent panel found the officers actions amounted to gross misconduct. He was dismissed from the force without notice. Following the end of the appeal period, the result of the hearing has now been publicised.
