Officers were called to York railway station at around 8.48pm today (15 December) following reports of a serious assault. Paramedics and North Yorkshire Police also attended, and a person was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn said: “Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and passengers will see an increased police presence in the area as a result.”
