A man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in at York railway station.
Officers were called to the station at 8.48pm on 15 December following reports of a serious assault. Paramedics and North Yorkshire Police also attended, and a man was found with a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with offence.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Sam Painter said: “We continue to urge witnesses, or anyone with information, who is yet to speak to officers to get in touch by texting 61016, or calling 0800 405040, quoting reference 617 of 15 December.
