Did you witness this incident?
Detectives investigating a serious assault onboard a Central Line train are today appealing for witnesses to come forward.
At around 3.30pm on Monday 2 December, the victim was sat on a Central Line train between Shepherds Bush and Liverpool Street when another woman sat next to her.
The victim and woman started arguing before the woman began to punch the victim in the head repeatedly, scratching her face and pulling her hair.
Three members of the public restrained the woman and moved her away, however she returned to the victim and started to stamp on her feet.
She then poured a bottle of juice over the victim before taking an empty glass bottle and smashing it over the head of the victim, causing her to lose consciousness.
Were you one of the people who restrained the woman, or did you witness this incident and have information which could help the investigation?
