Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault near Wolverhampton St George’s tram stop.
At around 5am on Wednesday 28 August, a man was attacked by a group of people and knocked unconscious near Market Street and the tram stop.
The victim suffered severe facial injuries including damaged teeth and bruising. He was taken to hospital to undergo extensive surgery to his jaw.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
