Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenager was sexually assaulted on a train travelling between Balloch and Airdrie railway stations.
On Saturday 3 July a teenage girl was approached by a man on the 16:38 service towards Airdrie. During the journey the man sexually assaulted her and made inappropriate remarks towards her.
The man got off the train at Charing Cross station at 5.30pm with a group of other men.
The man is described as a white man in his 60s, around 5’7 in height and of large build. He had grey, curly hair and was wearing a psychedelic print t-shirt with dark shorts and round sunglasses at the time, displaying tattoos with writing and stars.
At the time of the incident the service was very busy with passengers, officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it to assist their enquiries.
