Sexual assault on passenger – Merseyside

Officers investigating a sexual assault on board a train believe he could have key information to help their investigation.

Shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday 21 August a man boarded the Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street service at Wigan and sat next to the victim, engaging her in conversation.

 

He then sexually assaulted her and exposed himself before being asked to move from his seat by the train conductor.

The man then returned to sit next to the victim before leaving the train at Edge Hill station.

 

Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image has information which could assist their investigation.
