British Transport Police has released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an incident on board the 10.23pm train from Edinburgh Waverley to Helensburgh Central service.
The incident occurred on Friday 11 December around 10.23pm after the train left Haymarket station.
Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.
He is described as late 30's/early 40's, slim build, with brown unkept hair and a scruffy appearance. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jumper, denim jeans (dirty looking), black dirty trainers and had what looks like either a scar or prominent cheekbone on left side of his face under his eye.
British Transport Police can be contacted by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2000138206. Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
