At just after 8pm on 23 August 2020, the victim alighted from a southbound Bakerloo Line train onto the platform at Oxford Circus Underground station.

A verbal exchange took place before the victim was lifted into the air and thrown to the floor, causing the victim facial injuries and bruising to his limbs and body.
