Images released after robbery on-board train – Essex

Detectives investigating a robbery on-board a train service travelling between Barking and Basildon are today releasing images in connection.

At 12.30pm on Thursday 24 December 2020, the victim was seated on-board the service when he was approached by a man who demanded some of his belongings.

A fight then ensued during which the man put the victim in a chokehold before leaving the train at Basildon station with the victim’s coat and watch.

Officers believe the man in the images may have information which could help their investigation.
