Do you recognise this man?
Officers investigating a serious assault at Tamworth station are today releasing this image in connection.
On 23 June at around 1.15pm, the victim, a 32-year-old man, was punched in the face by another man.
He boarded a train but returned to the station around an hour later and shouted at the victim who was still there, having missed his earlier train.
The man found a brick, concealed it under his t shirt and walked over to platform two, where he kicked the victim and then hit him over the head with the brick.
This knocked the victim to the floor and he sustained a significant head wound which required stitches in hospital.
The man was not known to the victim.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
