Officers are appealing for further information after a man was assaulted at Upminster station.
At around 5.15pm on Tuesday 15 March, two men travelling on a service from Fenchurch Street to Upminster station were approached by another man who began making violent threats towards them.
The men moved away from him to a different carriage, however the man followed them. When the train arrived at Upminster the men got off and tried to board a different carriage again and the other man continued to follow.
As the two men boarded the train, the man following them pulled one of the men back onto the platform floor. He pulled him further along the platform and punched and kicked him in the face.
The other man intervened and pulled him back onto the train as the man continued to try to attack the victim.
The victim sustained a broken nose and other facial injuries including a cut lip and bruising following the incident.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
