Detectives investigating a death on the railway in Croydon are today appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to the line between East Croydon and Selhurst stations at 6am on Monday 11 October following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics also attended, however sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have been informed, and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of her death.
They are appealing to anyone that was in the area at the time of the incident or anyone with information that could assist their enquiries.
