Officers are appealing for information after an altercation at Liverpool Street station.
At 10pm on Saturday 20 November, a fight broke out between a man and a woman at the top of the station escalator.
The man was hit over the head with a handbag containing a bottle and suffered a head injury.
The station was very busy with passengers at the time, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
