Officers investigating an assault near Mudchute DLR station are appealing for witnesses.
At just after 8am on Thursday 17 June, the victim boarded a DLR train at Crossharbour station. A male boarded the same train further up the platform.
As the train approached Mudchute station, the male approached the victim and told her to get off the train. When the train arrived at Mudchute, he pushed her off the train onto the platform.
He then told her to leave the station with him. The victim refused, but the male threatened to push her onto the tracks if she didn’t.
After leading her away from the station, the male slapped her across the face twice and threw her to the floor before kicking the back of her legs repeatedly.
The male then let the victim leave and told her to go to school.
