British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault on board a train leaving Glasgow city centre.
At around 11.45pm on Wednesday 30 April and into the early hours of Thursday 1 May on board a train from Glasgow Central to Saltcoats Station, a man was assaulted.
Two men on the train began to argue, before turning violent and one man bit the others upper arm.
The two men alighted at Saltcoats station where the argument continued and the 29-year-old victim had his ear bitten requiring medical treatment and stitches.
The offender is described as white, of average build and around 6ft tall. With dark hair shorter on the sides, he wore glasses, a white t-shirt, black shorts and white trainers.
Officers are appealing to other passengers on this busy train who may have witnessed the incident take place to get in touch.
