Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fight on board a train from Cardiff Central railway station to Pontyprdd.
At around 10.40pm on 12 October, an argument started between several passengers which progressed into a fight on board the train.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 700 of 12 October.
