Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault on a train travelling from Carlisle to Dumfries station.
At around 9.15pm on Saturday 28 August, the victim was sexually assaulted by a man on the train.
The man is described as a white male, around 40-50 years old, of slim build with short grey hair. At the time he was wearing a white shirt with Chanel braces, black trousers, Dr Martens boots and purple coloured contact lenses.
At the time the service was busy with passengers, officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help their investigation.
