Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a train in Edinburgh.
At around 7pm on Monday 29 July, a woman was waiting on the platform at Edinburgh Haymarket for the 7.05pm train to Dundee.
After boarding the train and sitting down, a man who had approached the woman on the platform moved seats to sit opposite her. He then proceeded to sexually assault the woman.
The man was described as being of southern European descent and in his mid-40s with dark hair and a grey beard. He was wearing a red, white and blue jumper with blue jeans.
