Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault on board a train to Glasgow Central station.
On 20 February at around 10.05pm, a man was assaulted on board the 9.33pm Lanark to Glasgow Central train.
The suspect boarded the train at Shieldmuir and struck the victim with a bottle of Buckfast, causing injuries to his eye. He then left the train at Motherwell.
Officers are appealing for the victim, and anyone who witnessed the incident, to come forward to assist the investigation.
The suspect is described as white, with black hair, around 5ft6 and he was wearing a black parker jacket and a tracksuit.
