British Transport Police are today appealing for information after a man was attacked at Kilmaurs Railway station in East Ayrshire.
The incident happened at 9.29pm on Friday 27 January.
The victim is reported to have been attacked by multiple people on the platform.
Investigating officers are releasing descriptions of two people they would like to speak to.
The first is a white male, with dark hair and wearing a black Aquascutum hoodie with the hood up. He also wearing green/blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
The second is a white male who was wearing a black and grey Berghaus hooded top with the hood up. He was also wearing black trousers, dark trainers and was in possession of a small black dog on a leash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40. In both cases quote reference number 676 of 27/01/23.
