PC Muhammad Patel will attend a Misconduct Hearing at the PSD Offices in York, between 10th to 13th September 2024 to answer allegations of breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct and Honest and Integrity.
It is alleged that on three separate occasions between May 2022 and October 2023, whilst off duty, PC Patel was witnessed inhaling Nitrous Oxide from a balloon and/or in possession of Nitrous Oxide, whilst in a car with others.
It is further alleged that in February 2023, PC Patel submitted a written declaration to BTP Professional Standards Department, in relation to the incident in February 2023, which is contrary to the information provided by Lancashire Police.
It is alleged that this amounts to Gross Misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal.
If you wish to attend, please complete the form on our upcoming hearings page.
