Former Special Police Constable Nathan Armstrong based at Newcastle will attend a misconduct hearing to be held remotley and at Professional Standard Department offices, 10 Toft Green, York, Y01 6JT, between Monday 7th July and Friday 11th July.
Former Special Police Constable Armstrong, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
The former officer regularly made unsolicited, crude, sexualized and inappropriate comments in the hearing of British Transport Police colleagues.
The former officer engaged in an inappropriate conversation with a colleague which related to a female colleague. The content of the conversation was sexual in nature, fabricated and without the knowledge of the female concerned.
The former officer engaged in a conversation with a colleague in which he falsely suggested that he had used inappropriate language to a suspect he had been chasing and that he had been advised by a sergeant not to submit his body worn video of the incident.
The former officer engaged in a conversation with a colleague in which he falsely stated that he had been under investigation for using inappropriate language towards a suspect and that the incident had been captured on body worn video.
The former officer engaged in a conversation with a colleague in which he falsely stated that he had previously been employed by two other Police Forces and had kept uniform from one of them.
It is alleged that these matters individually and/or cumulatively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, are so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.

Any requests received after this time will be unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected. Members of public will be required to attend BTP Office to view.
