On Friday 26th July 2024 an Accelerated Misconduct Hearing took place remotely via Teams regarding PC Daniel Cox. The hearing was Chaired by the Chief Constable. PC Cox did not attend.
It was alleged that that whilst a serving police officer for the British Transport Police PC Cox;
On Monday 3rd June 2024, at West Yorkshire Magistrates Court;
The conduct was alleged to breach the Standards of Professional Behaviour regarding Authority Respect & Courtesy & Discreditable conduct.
Chief Constable Lucy D'Orsi found the allegations proven and PC Daniel Cox would have been dismissed from the force with immediate effect had he not ceased to be an officer.
