A former British Transport Police officer has been formally without notice, following a fast tracked misconduct hearing.
PC Youseff Baida-Machhour, based in London, was dismissed with immediate effect by the Chief Constable on Thursday 30 June. He resigned from the force on 14 June.
The allegations were that on the 17 December 2021, former officer PC Baida-Machhour attended a Christmas night out with his colleagues whilst off-duty in a bar and whilst there, engaged in inappropriate conduct towards a female colleague.
During the evening PC Baida-Machhour touched his colleague inappropriately on several occasions.
The Chief Constable found he had breached the standards of professional behaviour,
Chief Constable Lucy D’Orsi: “There is absolutely no place for this behaviour in British Transport Police, and this fast track hearing demonstrates how seriously we take such incidents.
“PC Baida Machhour’s behaviour was sexual in nature and violated a colleague’s personal integrity and privacy, which is completely unacceptable.
“We rightly demand the highest standards of integrity from our officers, and I would like to be absolutely clear that PC Baida Machhour does not represent the values of BTP. “
