Urgent appeal for witnesses following serious assault – East London

Detectives investigating a serious assault at Stratford station that’s left the victim in hospital with life threatening injuries are urgently appealing for information to assist their enquiries.

Officers were called to the East London station at 7.40pm yesterday evening (16 January) following reports of a serious assault.

Paramedics also attended, and the victim, a 51-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital where he remains. His injuries are currently believed to be life threatening.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone that was in the area yesterday evening or anyone with information to assist with their enquiries.
