If you have been a victim or a witness to a crime we will support you throughout your involvement with the criminal justice system.

Victimes of crime Scotland

We will support you by;

  • Giving you the right to certain information about your case
  • Giving you clear Standards of Service for victims and witnesses
  • Giving vulnerable victims the right to access special measures designed to help them give evidence in court
  • Requires the court to consider compensation to you in relevant cases
  • A victim surcharge paid for by offenders, so that they contribute to the cost of supporting you
