Support for victims of crime

There is a wide range of organisations available to help victims of crime.

If you report a crime to us, we will put you in touch with Victim Support, who will provide you with someone to talk to.

Victim Support

Victim Support is the national charity for people affected by crime. It provides a free and confidential service independent from the police. Call 08 08 16 89 111.


If you have information about a crime that you want to give anonymously you can call Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.

Rape Crisis

Rape Crisis provide specialised counselling, support and independent advocacy for all women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. Call 0808 802 9999. 


Samaritans is a confidential emotional support service for anyone in the UK and Ireland. Call 08457 90 90 90 or visit the Samaritans website.
