Current neighbourhood policing
priorities
| 1. Reduce theft Person/Theft
personal property recorded offences on the Jubilee Line North
Area |
You Said:
Analysis shows that the majority of recorded
theft offences this year have taken place on board trains. Our
strategy is to reduce these crimes by heightening public and
staff awareness and bringing offenders to justice.
We/our partners have:
In the month of
December
Officers carried out train patrols and
station visits between Wembley Park, Green Park, Bond Street and
Baker Street
-
Officers have engaged with commuters
and passengers, giving advice on combating theft of their personal
property.
-
Anti-theft patrols have continued on a
daily basis over the busy Christmas periiod with patrols between
Finchley Road and Green Park
|
| 2. Reduce instances of motor
vehicle crime at Jubilee line North sector London Underground car
parks |
Result
As of February 2012
Car park crime for this section of the line has been reduced by
80% since the start of the policing plan. The car parks are most
vulnerable after 1900hrs Mon-sat and all day Sundays. Car parks are
routinely patrolled during these hours by NPT and response
officers.
The policing plan has had a positive impact on the
neighbourhood: in this case the “community” are members of the
public who use the car parks. Vehicle related crime has fallen
dramatically since the implementation of the PSP, attention will
continue to be paid to the four car parks along the Jubilee Line
North sector.
