Current neighbourhood policing priorities

1. Reduce on station offences of theft at Holborn Tube Station

You Said:

It has been identified that Holborn Tube Station, between the period 01/02/2011 and 30/04/2011, had 26 incidents of Theft. Compared to the rest of the stations, Holborn is showing 30% higher than Bond Street Tube Station and 63% higher than Bank Tube Station.

Foot flow on some of the Central Line stations is very high especially in stations that serve more than one line. Holborn, Bond Street and Bank are the 3 highest theft locations and all have passengers changing lines to continue their journey.

We/Our partners have:

In the month of March 2012

  • Teams have been given link to anti-social behaviour orders relating to theft on London Underground.
  • Crime interrogation has been carried out resulting in theft arrests on station platform, escalators & stairs.
  • Ongoing high visibility patrol.
