Current neighbourhood policing
priorities
| 1. Reduce reports of anti-social
club ticket touts at Piccadilly Circus Tube Station |
You Said:
Piccadilly Circus is a busy commuter station with a large number
of passengers using it. The specific problem at the
station are a number of reports from staff regarding an
increase in unauthorised club ticket touts behaving in anti-social
manner and obstructing exits at the station when passengers are
entering or leaving the station on Thursday, Friday, Saturday
and Sunday evenings.
We/Our partners have:
In the month of April 2012
- Liaised with our colleagues from the Metropolitan Police,
the local council Noise and Licensing Officer
and London Underground staff at the station.
- Conducted joint operations with the above to deal with
touts.
- Conducted high visibility patrols at problem times to
deal with the touts in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police
Service.
